Community Health Charities of Florida represents 60+ health charities in the state of Florida with collective budgets in excess of $100 million.Grants to the area from our charities total over $10 million annually.Patient aid tops $2 million in direct aid- not including what our charities are able to provide to patients in the form of free or reduced cost medications.Education and community outreach totals are harder to monetarily qualify as one piece of literature can be passed on to several people.Overall, our collective impact is tremendous.
CHC member charities meet accountability standards that include the following: each charity must undergo an annual application and review process; be a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization as certified by the IRS; have an annual audit conducted in accordance with the generally accepted auditing standards of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; have an active, voluntary board of directors; have fund raising and administrative costs that are at or below industry standards; and meet other specified requirements.
