Starting a Family: What to Expect After Pregnancy

March of Dimes Foundation, First Candle/SIDS Alliance & Mental Health America

In this last episode of a three-part Health Matters at Work video podcast series on Starting a Family, our host Jerry Franz sat down with representatives of three of Community Health Charities’ member charities to discuss a topic of common interest, what to expect after the birth of a baby. The panel includes:

Donna Dei, RN, MSN – State Director of Program Services, March of Dimes Foundation

Hanan Kallash – Health Educator, First Candle/SIDS Alliance

Lea Ann McNee – Deputy Director, Mental Health Association of Maryland (a chapter of Mental Health America)

Meeting your baby for the first time is both exciting and overwhelming.  Adjusting to life after pregnancy, caring for your newborn and sleep deprivation can be quite overwhelming.  In this episode, panelists include tips on how to identify postpardum depression, where to seek help, tips on breastfeeding and more.
