A nationwide survey found that more than half (54.6%) of all U.S. citizens test positive to one or more allergens. In 2009, it was estimated that 24.6 million Americans currently had asthma, including 7.1 million children. Asthma is a leading cause of missed work and schools days. The prevalence of asthma has been increasing since the early 1980s across all age, sex and racial groups. On April 12, at 1:00 pm (EST) Community Health Charities and the American Lung Association will offer an informative webinar that explores what is asthma and allergies, recognizing signs and symptoms, identifying triggers, and how to effectively manage your asthma and allergies. Join us for this webinar to learn how to manage asthma and allergies.
